About

People always ask: how did you get into this line of work?

At 18, I had a horrible car accident. I was 2 centimeters away from breaking my neck, but I was left nearly unscathed except for some broken fingers. My father asked me, "Do you want to try acupuncture while your fingers are healing?" I replied, "Yes."

And...that is where my acupuncturist planted the message - that I could help others in the way that she was healing me with herbs, cupping, gua sha, and needles.

However, the journey to arrive at acupuncture school was quite the windy road. I come from a long line of healers. In our family, we have nurses, therapists, and herbalists, to name a few, so I had the foundation and exposure. My healing journey started at a very young age. By the age of 4, I could see where pain was in other people's bodies. I knew I wanted to help people, but I didn't know how yet or what I was capable of. During my undergrad experience, I received my Bachelor's of Arts in Social Work and started working with children. I found it limiting, in the sense that I could help people in their processing and decisions, but could not release the trauma that they held in their bodies.

I then went to study massage in Tujunga, California and started learning the language around energy work and names to the physical feelings I felt when I would massage people or be near them. Eventually, I found body work to also be limiting in the sense that I could not help integrate what they were feeling emotionally within their own bodies.

So I had a dilemma. How do I integrate these two: mind/emotions with the body? And this is the time in my life where I found acupuncture. For me, acupuncture brilliantly combined the body, mind, and spirit/emotions together. And after graduation, I then entered into a program (that is deeply close to my heart) called NET (Neuro Emotional Technique). This technique brought me life and is the reason why most patients come in to see me. I love this work. You can find more about it on my services page or on their website here. The point of this work is to help you bridge the love for yourself despite old patterning of many years.

So that is it. My journey up until present. And now being a new mom of a toddler.. oh my, how my life has changed me. But that is for another day. Abrazos and good energy sent your way for your jourey.

Blessings to you and your loves ones,
